12.04.03 - We are back from our whirlwind Thanksgiving road trips... it was nice to see everyone, but great to be back! I have worked out once since the middle of November and am ready to get back on schedule with that. I caught another cold before we left and and got over it once we got back. Enough with the colds already! We are going to get our Christmas tree tomorrow, so that should be fun. And we have to take our Christmas photo, since we have alredy gotten our first Christmas card... you know who you are... MELANIE!
11.15.03 - I am finally over that darn cold. We had a great trip to South Carolina, two children-less days in Hilton Head! Very wonderful. I got off to a great start on Alex's quilt - the actual quilting part - but haven't touched it since we got back. We did get our new windows and they are great! We had a huge wind storm and there was no rattling and you could not even really hear the wind at all.
10.21.03 - I have that pesky cold that all the kids have and Dean still has. My throat is very raw, but the sudafed seems to be drying out my head. Not sure how the kids can be sick and still have so much energy. It just isn't fair!
10.12.03 - My, that was a quick 2 weeks... We celebrated the twins birthdays quietly at home - they both had their cupcake and I will be posting the pics soon. Back to working out on schedule. Dan has resumed working on the kitchen remodeling, so hopefully we be off to the Home Depot for countertops soon!
9.30.03 - Ugh, haven't been to the gym in 3 days and I can tell going up and down the stairs. Luckily I have a volleyball game tomorrow night so I will get some exercise. Found out a horrible thing last night... the twins HATE SLEEVES! Great. I tried to put them in long sleeved Halloween outfits and they both cried and tugged at the sleeves until I changed them. It will be a LONG winter at this rate!
9.29.03 - Ah, another week. All three babies have colds and are coughing, so I don't want to take them to the gym with me. I will either go tomorrow or tonight after Dan gets home. We are making great progress on Alex's quilt. Almost have the entire top pieced. I will have to post photos of that. In my spare time... ha ha
9.24.03 - Today was playgroup with the Grist Mill Gang. Dean is having assertiveness issues, but the group is good for him to get out and burn some energy with kids his own age.
9.20.03 - We weathered Isabel pretty well. Our electricity went out for about 12 hours, but most of that time we were sleeping, so it wasn't to bad. Our neighbors however, got a tree through their newly remodeled kitchen. Bummer. Weird, since our yard just looked like a thunderstorm had hit.. with a few branches here and there, but no big ones and no damage to anything. Hooray! We were very lucky!
9.15.03 - Another long week. Every one out of town but me. This week the same is happening, but only have to watch kiddos one night without help. Hooray. However, I am still looking for an elusive babysitter so I can get out for volleyball. Hopefully the neighbor will help out. Gotta love neighbors!
9.5.03 - Mmmm, this has been a VERY long week. Last Thursday we went to Williamsburg with the family, and when we returned, no AC. So, Monday-Thursday morning we were sweltering. All that and our 2nd phone line went out. Why does this stuff happen every time we go on vacation? Dan returns from California anytime now and the weekend promises to be much more enjoyable. AC is back, the 2nd phone line is up and we got measured for our new windows, which should be installed in the next 4-6 weeks! Hooray for that!
8.27.03 - Well, we only one one of our games last night, but we played really well for the most part. That is really all I care about. I used to be all "we have to win", but now I am just - as long as I play my best, I am happy. I will have to give a lot of credit to my new outfit - Under Armour. Love that stuff. I wasn't hot at all.
8.20.03 - I have joined Gold's Gym and am working out 3 times a week. The best part is they have child care so I try to go in the mornings when I still have some energy!
Volleyball season started last night and we took all 3 games! I don't remember the last time we did that. Off to a great start!
