The Antique Button Quilt

I bought this quilt top in Iowa in 1992 for $2, yes, $2. I would roll over in my grave is someone sold a quilt top I made for $2. It was in bad need of repair, so I made some new hexagons (they are the light almost white looking ones) and I made several new triangle type pieces and repaired it. Then to finish it, I put a bunch of buttons on it (they are the small circles you see in the middle of the triangle shapes. I wasn't going to use it for family picnics, but it is so delicate and totally warm, that we just use it to cuddle with. I will probably keep it away from the little ones until they are old enough to leave the buttons alone, because they could probably pick them off. It is not quite a twin size.
