12.04.03 - I perfected my walking at Grandma and Grandpa's house in KY. I even figured out that darn sippy cup! There is no stopping me now! I loved playing with my cousin Anne and Kevin. They catered to my every need! 11.15.03 - I am really working on walking now. It is my preferred mode of transportation, the only problem is I am always trying to pivot after about 2 steps. I am still a little shaky, but I have been working really hard. We went to South Carolina last week and my Aunt Valerie was a great surrogate mommy! 10.21.03 - I walked across the kitchen today! We had pancakes for breakfast, and I guess it was just what I needed to get me going. I will be running before you know it. 10.12.03 - I am still working on the walking, but in more important news... I have started sleeping through the night! Mom is very glad about that. At my 1 year check up, the nurse gave mom a book about the Ferber method and after 2 nights, I figured, what the heck... sleeping through the night isn't so bad after all! I have also made it up the entire flight of stairs all by myself, which prompted mom and dad to install a baby gate at the base of the stairs. Darn! 9.24.03 - Everyone seems to be in a hurry for me to walk... I actually prefer to be carried everywhere, so this is working out nicely. I get mommy to stay with me at playgroup, unless she is off rescuing my sister, so I don't see what the big deal is. Although those stairs at home are looking pretty tempting... 9.15.03 - Not really making much progress with the standing, but I am still having fun crawling around. I am getting a bunch more teeth in the back, or at least I hope that is why I am so grouchy lately. It is only when the sun goes down though. I am perfectly pleasant in the daytime hours. 9.8.03 - I am finally trying to stand on my own. I think I have stood for about 5 seconds unsupported. Ah ha... look out Emma, I am going to be chasing you soon! Oh yeah, and just to stay ahead of her... I got one more tooth in on the bottom, for a grand total of 5 teeth! 8.27.03 - Mmmm, it seems my big sis is trying to steal my "I have more teeth" thunder. That must be why I can't sleep very well at night. I figure I should see mom and dad at least once a piece overnight. I know they miss me. 8.20.03 - I am in no hurry to walk. I sometimes try to go directly into a standing position, but then I fall over. I don't know what I am thinking. Emma can do it, so I should be able to too. I do have four teeth, two on top and two on bottom. So I guess I am winning that race!
